In
most cases, laser is not the complete answer to hair removal. It takes
electrolysis to eliminate those white or blond hairs that remain
(everybody has some) after the dark hairs are gone. For those
individuals with predominately blond, white or red hair, laser is not a
recommendation. Laser Associates of Northwest
Florida
offers both electrolysis and laser hair removal services and can
provide you with an unbiased consultation. We always invite our
prospective clients to get more than one opinion when seeking a
solution to hair removal but are confident that when all alternatives
have been pursued, our methods are the quickest and most economical,
with superior end results.
Electrolysis
Treatments
Shelby Owens and her colleagues, all Florida licensed electrologists,
can provide you with the particulars of conventional hair removal. All
offer Thermolysis (shortwave) and the Blend. Cleaning and sterilization
procedures are strictly adhered to as set forth by the Center for
Disease Control and Prevention.
Laser Associates of Northwest Florida is a
group of caring and skilled professionals
dedicated to your satisfaction.
GentleLASE
Hair Removal Laser Therapy
The
Candela GentleLASE hair removal laser is one of
five lasers that currently have FDA clearance for
"permanent hair reduction". GentleLASE effectively removes unwanted body
and facial hair. Traditional
hair removal techniques such as shaving, tweezing and waxing, provide
only temporary relief and may actually stimulate hair growth.
Electrolysis, while effective, often requires years of ongoing
treatments. All of these methods can result in scarring, allergic
reactions, and ingrown hairs. Laser hair removal works by targeting the
pigment inside the hair follicle without damaging delicate pores and
structures of the skin. Because hair cycles through "growth" and
"dormant" phases, and because during the "dormant" phase the follicle
has no pigment, at least 2 or 3 treatments will be needed.
